Joshua Vontrey Counts, 20, of 4418 Dennis Dairy Road, Newberry, SC entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital of Newberry, SC. He was born in Columbia, SC on July 14, 1995 to Yvette Counts and Timothy Jackson, Sr.

He was a graduate of Newberry High School and was presently enrolled as a Junior at Lander University in Greenwood, SC.

Counts was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Nancy Mae Counts.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are his mother, Yvette Counts of the home; father, Timothy Jackson, Sr; siblings, Vontressa Counts of Chapin, SC, Timmesha Jackson, Likevis Jackson, Fernando Wilson (Senchia), Ebony Jackson and Timothy Jackson, Jr all of Newberry, SC, DeShona Morgan of Blair, SC and Damion Parker of Atlanta, Georgia; maternal grandfather, William Counts, Sr. of Newberry, SC; one uncle, William O. Counts, Jr. (Rebecca) of Douglasville, Georgia; two aunts, Sharon Counts and Tracy Counts both of Newberry, SC; three great uncles; three great aunts; cousins including two devoted cousins, Keontae and Kedrick Singleton; and friends including one devoted friend, Javier Rodriguez.

 Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Saint Matthew Baptist Church (61 Boundary Street, Newberry, SC). Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens (15127 C R Koon Highway, Newberry, SC).
