Mr. Bobby Lee Stephens

Mr. Bobby Lee Stephens, of 108 Wilvant Road, Prosperity, South Carolina entered into the arms of Jesus on Monday, March 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Newberry County, SC, to the late Mr. Homer Butler Stephens and the late Mrs. Ora Bell Shepherd Stephens.

He honorably served in the United States Army and was awarded National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal and Parachute Badge.

After graduating from Gallman High School in Newberry, SC, he furthered his education at Piedmont Technical College.

He was formerly employed by Long & Bartley Builders.

His wife, Mrs. Angie Chaplin Stephens preceded him to Heaven.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are one son, Bobby Terrell Stephens (Sha’Tara) of Irmo, SC; two daughters, Nicole Stephens Herring (Hank) of Chapin, SC and Aquanetta Stephens Coleman of Newberry, SC; six grandchildren, Otis, Ashley, Daysha, Haylee, Landyn and Nicholas; four great grandchildren; one brother, Rev. Willie Stephens of Newberry, SC; one brother-in-law, Thomas Chaplin (Helen) of Whitmire, SC; one sister-in-law, Mary Lee Stephens of Prosperity, SC and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Funeral service and burial with Military rites will be conducted 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
