Mr. J.D. Hair, Jr.

Mr. J.D. Hair, Jr., 51, of 1307 First Street, Newberry, South Carolina entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Newberry County, SC to Mrs. Elizabeth Hill Hair and the late Mr. J.D. Hair, Sr.

He was a member of Young Mount Zion Baptist Church of Saluda, SC.

He was predeceased by a brother, Willie James Byrd.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Hill Hair of Chappells, SC; two sons, Victor Hair, Sr. of Silverstreet, SC and Jalik Hair of Greenwood, SC; one daughter, Ashley Lartman of the home; grandchildren, Jacailyn Carter, Ajwone and Anyrie Lartman, Victor Hair, Jr. and Ky’Zuri Hair; one brother, R.D. Byrd (Sarah) of Newberry, SC; four sisters, Josephine Dawkins and Inez Pitts both of Newberry, SC and Mamie Farrow and Mattie Davis both Greenwood, SC; one uncle, Joe Dowdy of Woonsocket, Rhode Island; one aunt, Betty Ree Dowdy of Woonsocket, Rhode Island; a devoted companion, Almeter Davis; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including three devoted friends, Ervin Farrow, Gregg Langford and Curtis Wicker.

The family will receive friends at the home (1307 First Street, Newberry, SC).

Funeral service and burial will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Young Mount Zion Baptist Church of Saluda, SC (viewing one hour prior to the service).
