Mr. John Bunyan Cannon

Mr. John Bunyan Cannon, 76, of 1387 New Hope Road, Pomaria, SC entered into the arms of Jesus on March 13, 2017 at his residence.  He was born in Pomaria, SC to the late Mr. John Cannon and the late Mrs. Beatrice Wicker Cannon.

He was a faithful member and Trustee of Saint Mark A.M.E. Church and was also a member of the Male Choir, Sons of Allen and was active in bible study classes.

Mr. Cannon was a 1957 graduate of Gallman High School.

Four brothers, Homer Cannon, Ulysses Cannon, Bobby Cannon, James Eddie “Q Ball” Cannon and Henry Lee Cannon, preceded him to Heaven.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are his wife, Mrs. Jerodine W. Cannon; one daughter, Jacqueline Counts Jenkins (Richard) of Columbia, SC; two grandchildren, Latasha Elliott (Desi) and Teri Mayers; one great-grandchild, Justice Elliott; two brothers, Willie Ray Cannon of Prosperity, SC and Tommy H. Cannon (Faye) of Columbia, SC; one sister, Ella B. Holly (Louis) of Little Mountain, SC; three brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   

Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Saint Mark A.M.E. Church in Pomaria, SC (viewing one hour prior to the service). Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
