Mr. Robert Lee Gallman, Jr.

Mr. Robert Lee Gallman, Jr., 72, entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at White Oak Manor Nursing Home in Newberry, SC. He was born in Prosperity, SC to the late Robert Lee Gallman, Sr. and the late Catherine Edwards Gallman.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Gallman; three brothers, Clarence, Larry and Fleming Gallman; a sister, Direatha Gallman.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are two sons, Nathaniel Cannon of Newberry, SC and Cyrus Moon of Prosperity, SC; three daughters, Melissa Bates and Deborah Moon Pitts both of Newberry, SC and Donna Morris Gaffney of Prosperity, SC; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; seven sisters, Essie Turner (Bill) Jersey City, New Jersey, Betty Houston of Newberry, SC, Shirley Wicker, Martha Ann Kinsler (Jessie), Marie Wise and Judy Williams (Olin) all of Prosperity, SC and Kathy Grant (Derwood) of Irvington, NJ; one uncle, Johnnie Edwards of Newberry, SC; two aunts, Diane Caldwell of Newberry, SC and Vera Gallman of Prosperity, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews including a devoted nephew, Jessie Lee Kinsler, cousins and friends including a devoted friend and caretaker, Sammie Mathis.

The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Melissa Bates (1244 Kinard Street Lot 9, Newberry, SC).

Funeral service and burial will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Lever Chapel AME Church in Prosperity, SC (viewing one hour prior to the service).
