Mr. Roger Stanley Davenport "Big Jack"

Mr. Roger Stanley Davenport, affectionately known as “Big Jack”, of 181 Rikard School Road, Prosperity, SC entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital in Newberry, SC. He was born in Columbia, SC on December 3, 1961, to the late Mr. James Davenport and the late Mrs. Carolyn Moon Davenport.

He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Prosperity, SC. He was also a member of the Sons Aid Lodge No. 61.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are three brothers, Jimmy M. Davenport (Olivia), Vincent Davenport and Gary Davenport all of Prosperity, SC; two aunts, Mrs. Joe Ann Wise of Prosperity, SC and Mrs. Susie Davenport of Columbia, SC; five nieces including a devoted niece, LaQuisha Brown, who was reared in the home; two nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends including two devoted friends, Calvin Wise and George Toland.

Funeral services and burial will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Antioch Baptist Church, 236 Rikard School Road, Prosperity, SC. (viewing one hour prior to the service).
