Mrs. Addie Mae Reeves

On Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the dawn of a new day, God dispatched His angels to camp around the bedside of our dearly beloved Addie as she was ushered through the Pearly Gates of Heaven.  As she disrobed from this earthly body to put on her new robe in glory, our Heavenly Father welcomed her to the new life that shall last for eternity. 

Addie Mae Reeves, daughter of the late Annie Wingard and Bernie Corley, was born on March 29, 1923 in Lexington County.  At the age of 92, she departed this earthly life at the Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC.

Addie was educated in the public schools of Lexington County, South Carolina.  Her friendliness and outgoing personality was an asset to her career as a domestic worker.

Later in life, she met and married the late Lomie Wash Reeves.  This union was filled with love, happiness and the birth of one child. They shared many beautiful years together. 

Sister Reeves accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Stonewall Holiness Church, Chapin, South Carolina, until her health started declining.  During her church attendance, she could be found singing Songs of Zion on the church choir.

Addie was a loving, caring and devoted person who had unconditional love for her family.  She was a friend to all and enriched the lives of all who knew her.   She loved life and it was reflected in the warmth of her smile. The laughter she shared with us will be truly missed.

Although her presence on earth is no more, precious memories will live forever in the hearts of her loving daughter, Beulah L. Clark; five grandchildren, Brenda (Reeves) Benson, Charlene (Reeves) Dortch, Charles Clark, Quinton Clark and Vanessa Clark; ten great-grandchildren, Mya, Melissa, Jamie, Bryant, Destiny, Pauline, Chanel, Porscha, Marquel and Avery; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss Addie dearly.

Funeral services and burial will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 16, 2015 at Stonewall Holiness Church ( 320 Stonewall Court, Chapin, SC) (viewing one hour prior to the service).
