Mrs. Dalice Gallman Tobias

Our Heavenly Father called to rest a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Mrs. Dalice Gallman Tobias was born April 11, 1929 in Little Mountain, SC. She was called into eternal rest on Thursday, November 26, 2015. Dalice was the eldest daughter of the late James Gallman, Sr. and Sallie Willie B. Gallman. She was married to Henry Morris Tobias, Sr. who preceded her in death. On the profession of her faith, Dalice became a believer in Jesus Christ at an early age. As the matriarch of the family, she was a devoted homemaker who counted it all joy to nurture her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious memories include her loving son, Mr. Henry Morris Tobias, Jr., Little Mountain, SC; devoted daughter, Mrs. Lavern Tobias Byrd, Little Mountain, SC; one son-in-law, Mr. James Byrd Sr., Little Mountain, SC; one brother, Mr. James (Georgia) Gallman, Jr., Irmo, SC; four sisters, Ms. Gladys Gallman, Newberry, SC, Ms. Mary Gallman and Mrs. Rose Mayer, both of  Montclair, NJ, and Mrs. Barbara Mitchell, Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, Ms. Melody Tobias and Mrs. Dawn (Gerald) Tobias-Bedenbaugh, both of Charlotte, NC, Ms. Brandy Byrd, Durham, NC, and Mr. James Byrd, Jr., Charleston, SC; and five great grandchildren. Her loving memory is also shared by one aunt, Mrs. Alice (Allen) B. Stephens, Columbia, SC; one brother-in-law, Mr. James Edwards, Baltimore, MD, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

A service of love, celebrating her life, will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, 206 Mount Pilgrim Church Road, Prosperity, SC (viewing one hour prior to the service).
