Ms. Dorothy Nell Davenport Culbreath

Ms. Dorothy Nell Davenport Culbreath, of 2616 Drayton Street, Newberry, South Carolina entered into Eternal rest on September 9, 2017 at her home. She was born in Prosperity, SC on June 23, 1955 to the late Mr. Arthur Lee Davenport, Sr. and the late Mrs. Willie Pearl Ruff Davenport.

She was a member of Pine Pleasant C.M.E. Church in Saluda, SC and was also a member of Woman’s Home Aid Society.

Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories are three sons, James Kenny Davenport (Joann) and Tony Davenport (Alicia), both of Saluda, SC and Ricky Davenport of Newberry, SC; two daughters, Tera Davenport (Stanley) of Newberry, SC and Ledesha Kinard (Telly) of Saluda, SC; 8 grandchildren, including two grandchildren reared in the home, Stanley Dominick and Bianca Davenport; two great grandchildren reared in the home, Paris Dewalt and Karson Davenport; a God daughter, Takiya Daniels; three brothers, Arthur Lee Davenport, Jr. of New York, NY, James Elbert Davenport (Jackie) of Newberry, SC and Stanley Davenport (Pam) of Saluda, SC; 6 sisters, Mary Wise of Clinton, SC, Diane Bates (Thomas) of Pomaria, SC, Irene Davenport (Gary) of Columbia, SC, Beverly Barton (Emith) of Oklahoma City, Nancy McField and Lea Etheredge (Melvin), both of Saluda, SC; one uncle, Mr. Thomas C. Davenport of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a daughter-in-law, Corenthia Davenport; a devoted companion, Michael Goudelock and friends, including two devoted friends, Dianne Rauch and Patricia Jones.

The family will receive friends at the home (2616 Drayton Street, Newberry).

Funeral service and burial will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Pine Pleasant C.M.E Church in Saluda, SC.
