Mr. Calvin Mayers

Mr. Calvin Mayers was born September 4,1957 in Little Mountain, SC to the late Imogene “Emma” Bowers and the late Claude B. Mayers. He entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Mr. Mayers attended Mid Carolina High school and participated in sports. He was a member of Providence A.M.E Church in Little Mountain, SC and was employed with Georgia Pacific for nearly 20 years. Later, he continued working in the manufacturing field until his health declined. He loved fishing, cooking and was an avid Clemson Tigers and Chicago Bears fan.

He was preceded in death by his son, Anquan Calvin Mayers; a sister, Gloria Bowers and a brother, Jeffery Bowers; his loving niece, Sonya Mayers and a nephew, Benjamin Cromer.

Cherishing his memory are his loving companion, Ida Robinson; daughter, Kalkita Kinsler; granddaughter, Kahneria Kinsler; siblings, Claudia Mayers, Angela Mayers, Patricia Mayers and Jennifer Mayers all of Little Mountain, SC, Claude Wheeler (Louvenia) of Pickens, SC, Elaine Dorley and Henry (Alice) Dorley of Prosperity, SC, Judy Bookman of Little Mountain, SC, and Christopher Curry of Chapin, SC; three sisters- in- law, including Mary Ann Ruff Mayers of Newberry, SC; a devoted aunt, Mary Ruth Sims; nieces, nephews including a devoted nephew, DeMichael Mayers other family and friends who loved him dearly.

Visitation for Mr. Calvin Mayers will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm in the parlor of Wilson Funeral Home.

Dinner will be served to everyone attending.

The family will hold a private service for Mr. Mayers and is asking the public to respect their wishes.
