Mr. Charles Ellis

Mr. Charles Ellis was born on March 25, 1965, to Annie Mae Ellis and the late Mr. Joe Dennis Ellis, Sr. On Saturday, March 2, 2024, Charles Ellis began his eternal rest at Prisma Health in Laurens, SC at the age of fifty-eight.

He was educated in the public schools of Newberry County. Charles had a love for fishing, which he enjoyed doing with his brothers and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife Martha Ann Ellis, two brothers Willie James Ellis and Joe Dennis Ellis, Jr, and one sister Eva Mae Floyd.

He leaves loving and wonderful memories of his life with his mother, Annie Mae Ellis of the home; one daughter, Taquanta Shambreka Jessie of Newberry, SC; two sons, Fredrick Wilson of Newberry, SC and Robert Tolen (Zhana) of Laurens, SC; five grandchildren, Zymaya, Ny’robi, Kaylee, Angela, and Rashed; two brothers, Barry Ellis of Newberry, SC and Eddie Ellis (Teresa) of Clinton, SC; seven sisters, Mary Ann Ellis of the home, Louise Brown and Cindy Ellis of Laurens, SC, Dorothy Jean Johnson of Newberry, SC, Sarah Ethel Ellis of Clinton, SC, Susan Davis of Columbia, SC, and Nora Brown of Aiken, SC; and two brothers- in- law, Arthur Floyd of Kinards
SC, and J.W. Houston of Newberry, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm in the parlor of Wilson Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Ellis will be conducted on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary of Belmont Baptist Church, 301 Belmont Church Rd, Silverstreet, SC.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
