Glentonia Ruenette Ruff was born on January 3,1965 in Prosperty, SC to Queen Lindsey Ruff and the late Harmon Ruff. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, February 5, 2024.
Glentonia was educated in the public schools of Newberry County. She worked for Heritage at Lowman in Chapin, SC for over a decade and held other positions being of service to others throughout her career. She was a lifelong member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Prosperity, SC, where she sang on the Gospel Choir for many years. Glentonia, “Toni” as she was affectionately called, had a deep love for her family and close friends. If you greeted her as such in any form, you were considered a loved one. She took great pride in bringing joy to others through laughter, food, and fellowship. Even with declining health, she could always be found with a smile.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Quasheila Ruff and father, Harmon Ruff.
Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories are her daughter, Tomeshia Williams; her mother, Queen L. Ruff both of the home in Little Mountain, SC; two grandchildren, Da’Harmon and La’Diamond Evans of West Columbia, SC; one sister, Lisa Fowler (Curtis) of Newberry, SC; three nieces, Shambreka Bartlett (Brandon) of NE Columbia, SC, Jasmine Williams (Patrick) of Ludowici, GA, Alexis Fowler of Newberry,SC; four great nephews; beloved aunts, including three devoted aunts Ida Ruff Geppert (Dieter) of Wechingen, Germany, Eva Brown of Lithia Springs, GA, and Lillie Harris of Lithia Springs, GA; loving uncles including George R. Shealy of Lithia Springs, GA, a devoted friend Shirley Garmany of Prosperity, SC a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the parlor of Wilson Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Ms. Glentonia R. Ruff will be conducted on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, 206 Mt. Pilgrim Church Rd, Prosperity, SC 29127.
