Milton Hare

Mr. Milton Hare of 2324 Benedict Street, Newberry, SC entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at White Oak Manor-Newberry.  He was born in Prosperity, SC on October 31, 1932 to the late Mr. Levi Hare and the late Mrs. Rosa Lee Lindsay Hare.

 He was a member of  Mt. Moriah A.M.E. Church in Prosperity and was a former member and founder of the male choir.  He moved to Washington DC in 1948, where he attended Bible Way Baptist Church.  He was employed with Hudson Brothers Trucking Company as a truck driver.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories include his Brother, Horace Hare (Betty) of Little Mountain, SC; two devoted nephews and caregivers, Charles Hare and Frank Hare (Donelle) of Newberry, SC; brother-in-law, Virgil Werts of Washington, DC; sisters-in-law, Ada Hare and Bernice Gantt (Ron) of Washington, DC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at the home, 2324 Newberry, SC.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Mount Moriah A.M.E. Church in Prosperity, SC.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
