Mr. Clyde Jessie, son of the late Mr. Johnny “Tobe” Jessie and the late Mrs. Lola Leaks Jessie, was born on August 30, 1938, in Chappells, South Carolina. He entered into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the Hospice House, Hospice Care of the Piedmont, Greenwood, South Carolina.

He was a member of Scurry Spring Hill Baptist Church, until he could no longer attend.  He honorably served in the United States Army for 21 years and was a retired Veteran.  He loved God, his family, friends, fishing, gardening, upholstery and making people laugh. Clyde also loved Rock & Roll music, enjoyed playing the guitar and the keyboard and he was a member of a Band and their hit was "Freight train" in 1960.

He was a devoted husband to the late Sieglinde Jessie. They were married for 32 years.  He never found another love.  Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are two daughters, Tamara “Tami” I. Brechtel of Greenwood, South Carolina and Diana F.
