Mr. Grady Floyd Sims, Jr., entered into Eternal rest on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Hospice House of Laurens County, Clinton, SC. He was born July 22, 1957, in Newberry, SC, to the late Grady Floyd Sims, Sr., and the late Lizzie Elizabeth Swindler Sims.
He was a United States Army veteran and was a former employee of Louis Rich.
He was predeceased by one brother, Brian Sims.
Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are two sons, Brady and Grady Sims, both of Newberry, SC; one daughter, Kamessia Cromer, Newberry, SC; six grandchildren; one brother, Brady Lee Sims (Sheryl), Carlisle, SC; one sister, Barbara Geneva Cannon (Tony), Newberry, SC; three aunts, Eva Curry, Pomaria, SC, Mary Ann Johnson, Irmo, SC, and Pearl Lee Walker, New York; four uncles, Willie Albert Sims and John Curry, both of Pomaria, SC, Reginald Johnson, Irmo, SC, and George Harry Garmany, Newberry, SC; two nieces, Latasha Suber (Corey) and Shonda Sims; one nephew, Reginald Sims; cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Barbara G. Cannon (Tony), 20138 US Hwy 76, Newberry, SC.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, Newberry, SC (viewing one hour prior to the service). Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
