Mr. Jack Edwards, Jr.

Mr. Jack Edwards, Jr., 82, formerly of 2417 Holloway Street, Newberry, SC entered into the arms of Jesus on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Palmetto Senior Care in White Rock, South Carolina. He was born in Pomaria, SC to the late Mr. Jack Fleming Edwards and the late Mrs. Geneva Green Edwards.

He was a Deacon of Saint John Baptist Church, member of the Black Knight CB Club and he was also a Master Mason of the Meridian Lodge No. 9.

He was a United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Edwards was preceded to Heaven by his wife, Annie Wallace Edwards and two sisters, Diane Edwards and Catherine Beatrice Gallman.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are two sons, Samuel R. “Che Che” Edwards (Sabrina) of Columbia, SC and Jack Kinard of New York, New York; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Johnny Edwards of Newberry, SC; 4 brothers-in-law; 5 sisters-in-law; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of his son, Samuel and Sabrina Edwards (1019 Swan Lane, Columbia, SC) and the home of his brother, Johnny Edwards (1619 Oxner Road, Newberry, SC).

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Saint John Baptist Church (5614 SC-219, Newberry, SC). Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery in Newberry.
