Mr. James Gallman

Mr. James Gallman was the son of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd Gallman and the late Mr. Zebby Wise. James was born on January 29, 1940 in Newberry, SC. He entered into the arms of Jesus on June 7, 2019 at the Bronx Central Hospital in Bronx, NY. James was affectionally known as Buck and was also self-employed as a carpenter.

 James attended the public schools of Newberry County.

He was predeceased by his step father, T.C. Gallman and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ellen Gallman Williams and Mrs. Pearline Dewalt.

 Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories include sisters, Mrs. Mary Gallman Cannon of Prosperity, SC, Ms. Nettie Gallman and Ruby Gallman of Newberry, SC, Ms. Betty, Hattie, Rosemary, Mary Ann and Brenda Wise all of Norristown, Pennsylvania; brother, L.K. Wise of Newberry, SC; aunts; and a host of nieces, including two devoted nieces, Ms. Melissa Gallman and Ms. Keyanna Gallman; nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.  

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Mrs. Mary Cannon (102 Byrd Street, Prosperity).

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home, 64 Boundary Street, Newberry. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah A.M.E. Cemetery.
