Mr. James William Lindsay entered into Eternal rest on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville, SC. He was born on April 3, 1942 in Silverstreet, SC to the late Mr. James W. Lindsay and Mrs. Fannie Crump Lindsay Higgins. James was reared in the home of the late Rev. Porterfield and Mrs. Fannie W. Crump
He was a member of Belmont Baptist Church in Silverstreet, SC.
Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are two sons, James and Patrick Lindsay, both of Walterburg, Connecticut; two daughters, Jennifer and Tieshia Lindsay, both of Walterburg, Connecticut; nine grandchildren; one brother, Roger Higgins of Clinton, SC; three uncles, Dr. Fred Crump (Joan) of Waldorf, Maryland, Rev. Richard C. Crump, Sr. (Emma Lee) of Silverstreet, SC and Tony Spencer of Clinton, Maryland; one aunt, Evangelist Alice Bates of Waldorf, Maryland; two sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends at the home of Michael and Cheryl Wilson, 831 Langford Mill Road, Newberry, SC.
Funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Belmont Baptist Church in Silverstreet, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
