Mr. Johnny Mayers affectionally known as “Bad Hair” of 112 Bayfield Road in Chapin, SC entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. He was born in Prosperity, SC on April 6, 1958 to the late Mr. Isreal Mayers Sr. and the late Mrs. Alberta Bowers Mayers.
He was a member of Providence A.M.E. Church.
Johnny was predeceased by two sisters, Hearlean E. Mayers and Pearlean E. Bates.
Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories include one son, Victor Sulton (Renata) of Little Mountain; two grandsons, Tytus and Greyson Sulton; a loving and devoted companion, Michelle Bowers of the home; six brothers, Charles Mayers of Chapin, Isreal Mayers Jr. (Malinda) of Little Mountain, O’Neal Mayers (Constance) and Larry Mayers (Marie) of Chapin, Bennie Mayers (Wyman) of Little Mountain and Tyrone Mayers of White Rock, SC; five sisters, Betty Barber of Chapin, Ann Stevens (Barnett) of Little Mountain, Judy Williams (Milton) of Prosperity, Hazel Stokes (Walter) of Columbia and Rosa Carmichael (Tony) of Newberry; one aunt, Susie Mayers; one brother-in-law, Richard Bates (Sonny) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services and burial will be held 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Providence A.M.E. Church, 701 Meadowlark Road, Little Mountain.
