Mr. Kirk Lydell Douglas

Mr. Kirk Lydell Douglas of 4443 Dennis Dairy Road, Newberry, SC, son of the late Mr. Bobby Douglas and the late Mrs. Betty Jean Young Douglas. He was born in Newberry, SC on January 10, 1959 and entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.

He attended Bethlehem Baptist Church in Newberry.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories include his  loving and devoted grandmother of the home, Mrs. Minnie D. Goodman; wife, Gwendolyn Renace Barbee Douglas of Paterson, NJ; one son, Kirk Douglas (Nicole) of Paterson, NJ; two daughters, Trenee Douglas-Singletary (Vaughn) and Renee Douglas of Paterson, NJ; five grandchildren, Kirk Douglas, Jr., Nehemiah Boreland, Diamond Douglas, Vaughn Singletary and Landon Singletary; four brothers, Kenneth W. Douglas (Marilyn) of Paterson, NJ, Bobby Darrell Douglas (Sandra), Dexter Douglas and Craig Douglas (Atia) of Newberry, SC; three sisters, Kimlyn D. Brown (James) and TaShawn D. Cannon (Reggie, Sr.) of Newberry, SC and Wonda D. Briggs (Kerry) of Simpsonville, SC; uncle, Mr. Virgil Douglas (JoAnn) of Creedmoor, NC; aunts, Mrs. Reba Ivey (Roy) of Simpsonville, SC, Mrs. Grace Young of Blair, SC and Mrs. Elaine Young Butler of Jacksonville, Florida; six brothers-in-law; six sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Minnie D. Goodman (4443 Dennis Dairy Road, Newberry, SC).

Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1501 College Street, Newberry, SC. Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery in Newberry.
