Mr. Randolph Swittenburg

Mr. Randolph Swittenburg of 425 Hill Trace Road, Newberry, SC entered into the arms of Jesus on July 23, 2017 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Newberry, SC on October 15, 1958 to the late Mr. Emory Sweettenburg and the late Mrs. Mary Frances Bookman Sweettenburg.

He was a member of Mount Hebron A.M.E. Church in Prosperity, SC.

Mr. Swittenburg was a member of the Sons of Aid Society and was also a member of the Men of Faith.

Five brothers, Rufus, Larry, Johnnie, Roger and Gregory and one sister, Daisy Sweetenburg, all preceded him to Heaven.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories include his loving and devoted wife, Patricia Elaine Swittenburg of the home; two daughters, Tatyana Kiara Swittenburg and Takeela Sunshine Swittenburg, both of the home; one grandson, Malachi Zachariah Singley of the home; 9 brothers, Emory Sweetenburg, Jr. (Hattie Mae), Kenneth Sweetenburg and Gene Sweetenburg, all of Newberry, SC; Heyward and Raymond Sweetenburg, both of little Mountain, SC, Benjamin and Marcus Brown, both of Prosperity, SC, Stanley Sweetenburg of Greenville, SC and John William Sweetenburg (Lesslie) of Pomaria, SC; two sisters, Mary Nell Wise and Mattie Bookman, both of Prosperity, SC; mother-in-law, Mrs. Annie Mae Jeter of Newberry, SC; three brothers-in-law, Michael Robinson, Tony Robinson (Greta) and Bruce Robinson, all of Newberry, SC; 4 sisters-in-law, Phyllis Ann Robinson, LaShonda Sweetenburg, Sarah Meggett and Mattie Sweetenburg; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at Saint Matthew Baptist Church, 61 Boundary Street, Newberry, SC (viewing one hour prior to the service). Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
