Mr. Robert Goodman

Mr. Robert Goodman, son of the late Olin Goodman, Sr. and the late Lugenia Earle Goodman was born April 15, 1939 in Pomaria, SC. He departed this Earthly life on Monday, May 15, 2017 at White Oak Manor Nursing Home of Newberry, SC.

He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Blair, SC.

Mr. Goodman was a United States Army veteran.

At an early age, Robert migrated from Pomaria, SC to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After 43 years living in Pittsburgh, he decided it was time to come back home to Pomaria. He was an avid fisherman, handyman and would help out others in need.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mrs. Ann P. Goodman; five brothers, Olin Goodman, Jr., Eugene, Raymond, Donald and Maxwell Goodman and two sisters, Mary Agnes Caldwell and Sallie J. Humphries.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are one daughter, Evern Faye Batchelor (Anthony) of Tarboro, NC; grandson, Kellcee Batchelor of Tarboro, NC; a loving sister and caregiver, Laura Goodman Lane (Kenneth) of Pomaria, SC; three sisters-in-law; and nieces, nephews, cousins including devoted and loving cousin, John Peoples and friends including two devoted friends, Florence Stoudemire and James F. Glymph.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Laura G. Lane (Kenneth), 10171 Broad River Road, Pomaria, SC.

Visitation will begin 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home.

Funeral service and burial with Military rites will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2017 at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Blair, SC (viewing one hour prior to the service).
