Mr. Tommy Lee Kirkland

Mr. Tommy Lee Kirkland entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 13, 2020 at White Oak Manor-Newberry. He was born in Pomaria, SC on August 18, 1946 to the late Mr. Hubert Kirkland and the late Mrs. Queenie O’Neal Kirkland.

Mr. Kirkland was a member of Saint John Baptist Church in Newberry, SC.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Issac Kirkland, Jr. and Burnette M. Kirkland.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories include a stepson, Thomas Griffin of Newberry, SC; three stepdaughters, Polly Ann Neal, Frerica Griffin and Rachel Hiller all of Newberry, SC; two brothers, O’Neal Cooper and Raymond Cooper of Newberry, SC; six sisters, Vera Wicker of Newberry, SC, Ruth Stark of Ravenna, Ohio, Mary Elizabeth Mathis of Warren, Ohio, Ruth Free (Larry) of Pomaria, SC and Phyllis Glenn of Newberry, SC and Alice Lyles of Pomaria, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Mrs. Vera Wicker of 1622 Bodie Street, Newberry, SC.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Saint Matthew Baptist Church, 61 Boundary Street, Newberry, SC. Burial will follow at Werts Cemetery in Newberry, SC.
