Mr. Tyrone Webster Mayers, Sr. formerly of 119 Skylark Road, Chapin, SC entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Lowman Home in Chapin, SC. He was born in Chapin, SC on April 6, 1941 to the late Robert Lee Mayers and the late Alberta Bowers Mayers.
He was a member of Providence A.M.E. Church in Little Mountain, SC.
Tyrone was predeceased by two sisters, Pearlene Bates and Herlene Mayers and one brother, Johnny Mayers.
Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories include two sons, Tyrone W. Mayers, Jr. of Chapin, SC and Craig Smith of Baltimore, MD; four daughters, Martha Mae Mayers of West Columbia, SC, Deloise Gallman of Johnson, SC, Pauline Mayers of Little Mountain, SC and Deanne Wise of Batesburg, SC; seventeen grandchildren; one great grandchild; five brothers, Charles Mayers of Chapin, SC, Isreal L. Mayers, Jr. (Malinda) of Little Mountain, SC, O’Neal Mayers (Constance) and Larry Mayers (Marie) of Chapin, SC and Bennie Mayers (Wyman) of Little Mountain, SC; five sisters, Betty Barber of Chapin, SC, Ann Stevens (Barnett) of Little Mountain, SC, Judy Williams (Milton) of Prosperity, SC, Hazel Stokes (Walter) of Irmo, SC and Rosa Carmichael (Tony) of Newberry, SC; one aunt, Susie Mayers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Ann Stevens (Bennett).
Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Providence A.M.E. Church in Little Mountain, SC.
