Mrs. Audrey Michelle Gray Robinson

A much-loved mother, sister, niece, and friend Audrey Michelle Robinson known to many as “Shell”, entered into Eternal rest on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.

Mrs. Audrey Michelle Robinson, daughter of the late Mr. Hasker David Gray and the late Mrs. Barbara N. Floyd, was born on September 2, 1961, in Newberry, SC.

Audrey attended Newberry County Schools and was a graduate of Newberry High School Class of 1979. After high school, Audrey earned an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont Technical College. Audrey was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Audrey held several positions during her years of employment. Most recently, she was an employee of Generations Senior Care Assisted Living Facilities of Chapin.

She was predeceased by one son, Robie Robinson; husband, Jackie Robinson; grandmother, Ella Abney Nance and grandfather, Robert Nance, Sr.; one brother, Larry Sims; and one uncle, Robert Nance, Jr.

Those who celebrate her life and cherish her precious memories are her son, Taurean J. Robinson of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Pamela E. Gray and Jannell Alexander (Daniel) of Newberry; one brother, Raymond Sims of Newberry, SC; two devoted aunts, Delores Nance and Rozell N. Caldwell (James) of Newberry, SC; aunts, Polly Gray, Juanita Nance and Azalee Gray of Newberry, SC; Godchildren, Charles D. Levy Jr., De’Andrea C. Levy, Candice Patrice Hawkins of Newberry, SC and Gene Gary of Atlanta, GA; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1501 College Street, Newberry, SC. Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery, Newberry, SC.
