Mrs. Daisy Bell "Ruth" Williams Jones

Mrs. Daisy Bell “Ruth” Williams Jones, of 8444 Island Ford Road, Chappells, SC, entered the arms of Jesus on January 3, 2018 at the Hospice House of Laurens County in Clinton, SC.  She was born April 30, 1930 in Chappells, SC to the late Mr. Robert Williams and the late Mrs. Ella D. Williams.

She was a member of Little River Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board, Senior Choir, Missionary Society and Past President of the Woman’s Home Aid Society Lodge # 35.

Mrs. Jones was preceded to Heaven by her late Husband Joseph Calvin Jones, Sr, and son, Joseph Calvin Jones, Jr; three brothers, Robert Williams, Jr., Eddie Williams and Roosevelt Williams, and a sister, Ida Lee Blackwell; and son-n-law, Elliott K. Smalls.

Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories include three sons, Barry Jones (Kathy) of Newberry, SC, Larry Jones (Irene) of Silverstreet, SC and Thomas “T.J.” Blackwell (Leslie) of Waterloo, SC; 4 daughters, Dorothy J. Farrow (Marvin) of Chappells, SC, Bonnie Smalls of New York, New York, Sylvia Robinson (Joe) of Chappells, SC and Valeria Jackson (James) of Trenton, SC; 23 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; one Brother, Willie B. Williams (Virginia) of Silverstreet, SC; 5 sisters, Mary Graham of Silverstreet, SC, Elease White of Philadelphia, PA, Carrie Bell Hall of Kinards, SC, Mary Butler (Lewis) of Clinton, SC and Barbara Holmes (Marvin) of Greenwood, SC; daughter-n-law, Vernell Jones of Cross Hill, SC; two sisters-in-law, Viola Williams (Lee) of Silverstreet, SC, and Bernice Stevens of Newberry, SC.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 The family will receive friends at the home of her granddaughter, Tasha Wadsworth (Chris), 30816 Highway 34, Chappells, SC.

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2017 at Little River Baptist Church (viewing one hour prior to the service). Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
