Mrs. Glendora Wicker Boyd

Mrs. Glendora Wicker Boyd of 1302 Second Street, Newberry, SC entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Heartland Nursing Home. She was born in Newberry, SC on July 31, 1954 to the late Mr. Chester Wicker and the late Mrs. Amanda Hutcherson Wicker.

She was a member of Saint John Baptist Church in Newberry, SC.

Those who celebrate her life and cherish fond and loving memories include her husband, Mr. John Boyd of the home; one son, Henry Lee Davenport of Columbia, SC; one daughter, Amanda S. Davenport (Terry) of Newberry, SC; stepson, Darrel Simpson of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Alexus and Bry’Anna Wicker of Newberry, SC; two great grandchildren; Ke’Ari Wicker and Zalayha Goodwin of Newberry, SC; three brothers, Lynwood Wicker, Donald Wicker (Joyce) and Michael Wicker (Jennifer) of Union, SC; five brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law, one aunt, Betty Ann Toland (Larry) of Prosperity, SC; one uncle, Freddie Lee Wicker, Sr. of Newberry, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including three devoted friends, Sallie Cannon, Veronica Singleton and Thomasina Brown.

The family will receive friends at the home, 1302 Second Street, Newberry, SC.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Saint John Baptist Church, 5614 SC-219 Newberry, SC. Burial will be in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
