Mrs. Renethia Grines-Coleman entered into the arms of Jesus on Monday, August 13, 2018, at Palmetto Health Heart Hospital, Columbia, SC. Born May 30, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Miles Clark and the late Mrs. Elease Long Clark.
She was known for her loving, kind and gentle personality. She was always willing to help and support anyone in need. She was a very spiritual and God loving woman.
Renethia was educated in the public schools of Newberry County. She attended Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC, for her undergraduate studies and Webster University in Columbia, SC, for her Master’s Degree.
She was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and the President of the Woman’s Home Aid Society Lodge No. 9. Renethia was a devoted and dedicated member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess.
Renethia was also the primary care-giver for her sister, Hazel Clark. Professionally, Renethia touched the lives of many children and Adults in Newberry and Saluda counties where she was a Social Worker.
She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Clark; and two sisters, Joe Ellen Irby and Doris Oxner.
Leaving to cherish loving and precious memories of her life are a loving husband of twenty-seven years, Thomas B. Coleman, Sr.; a son, who was her world, Thomas B. Coleman, Jr. (T.J.); mother-in-law, Eloise S. Coleman of Blair, SC; three brothers, Harold Clark and Robert Whitney both of Newberry, SC, and Miles Frank Clark (Jessie) of Greenville, SC; one sister, Hazel D. Clark of the home; brothers-in-law, George Oxner, Dave Coleman (Lisa), Wilson Coleman (Regail), Michael Coleman (Patricia) and Bobby Coleman; sisters-in-law, Wilhelmina Willingham (Arthur) and Elizabeth Coleman (Jake); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including a devoted niece, Bernice Clark; six God children, Madison and Kennedy Jeter, Kyanna and Sharesse Douglas, Vincent Brooks, Jr., and Anthony Lyles, Jr., all of whom will grieve her sudden passing, but rejoice that she is resting with the Lord.
The family will receive friends at the home (2169 Walton Way, Newberry, SC).
Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Blair, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
