Mrs. Rubie Nancy Nelums Gleaton, 87, of 640 Floyd Drive, Columbia, SC entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC. She was born on December 10, 1931 in Richland County, SC to the late Mrs. Bernice Nelums Corley and the late Mr. Henry Malverse Boyd. She was member of Pine Grove A.M.E. Church in Little Mountain, SC and she was affiliated with Friendship A.M.E Church in Columbia, SC. Mrs. Gleaton was past president of Pine Grove Gospel Choir and was a member of the Woman’s Home Aid Society Lodge # 97.
She was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. Thelma Smith.
Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories include three sons, Evans Toland (LaVelma) of Prosperity, SC, Larry Toland (Betty) of Prosperity, SC and Jay Gleaton (LaMorris) of Blythewood, SC; four daughters, Ruby Lindler of Prosperity, SC, Helen Toland of Blythewood, SC, Patricia Oxner (Johney) of Prosperity, SC and Carolyn Wilson (Herman) of Columbia, SC; brothers, James Corley of Little Mountain, SC and Curtis Nelson (LeAnna) of Hopkins, SC; twenty-three grandchildren, sixty-three great grandchildren, eighty-five great great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Henry Toland (Florine) of Little Mountain, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and two God daughters, Linda Goodwin (Gerald) of Winnsboro, SC and Patrice Foster of Blythewood, SC and friends, including four devoted friends, Joy Coleman, English Folsom, Bennie Harp and Gussie Pennie.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Pine Grove A.M.E. Church in Little Mountain, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
