Mrs. Shirley Ann Kimbrough Ruff

Mrs. Shirley Ann Kimbrough Ruff of 3443 Hwy 773, Pomaria, SC entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on February 22, 1950 to the late Mr. Percy Kimbrough, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mazelle Banks Kimbrough. She was the second oldest of nine siblings.

Shirley grew up in Detroit, Michigan and later graduated from North Western High School in 1968.

She was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Newberry, SC.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by one brother, Donald Kimbrough. 

Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories include her husband, Walter Clayron Ruff, Sr. of the home; two step sons, Walter Clayron Ruff, Jr. of Lexington, SC and James Murray Ruff of the home; four step daughters, Karen Ann Mayers of Newberry, SC; Mary Sampson (Carl) of Charlotte, NC, La Shawn Cannon of Newberry, SC and Jasmine Murray of Detroit, Michigan; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Percy Kimbrough, Jr. of Detroit, Michigan; six sisters, Beverly, Deborah and Phyllis Kimbrough (Eddie) of Detroit, Michigan, Mary and Vickie Kimbrough of Ohio and Edith Henderson (Frank); three sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home, 3443 Hwy 773, Pomaria, SC.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 715 Shrine Club Road, Newberry, SC. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
