Andre Terry Koon

Mr. Andre Terry Koon age 54, the son of the late Mrs. Brenda Koon Gray, was born on January 27, 1971, in Newberry, SC, and entered eternal rest on March 03, 2025.

Andre, better known as “Koon,” attended Newberry County Public Schools. He loved baseball. His daughter was everything to him. Everyone loved Andre. He was very sociable and always gave a helping hand.

Andre was predeceased by his sister, Talican Gray, and brother, Quinton Gray.

He is survived by his beautiful daughter Shy Reese Koon of Newberry, SC; brother, Olin Gray of Newberry, SC; two sisters Audrey Wise (Terry) of Chapin, SC, Marketta Gray of Newberry, SC; four aunts; Teresa Sanders (James) and Priscilla Henderson (Jim) of Newberry, SC, Doris Nelson (Deloyd) of Prosperity, SC and Julia Barns of Shelby, NC; two uncles, Robert Goree and James Sanders of Newberry, SC. A devoted friend Kayla Wallace and other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation 2-5pm Thursday March 6, 2025, Wilson Funeral Home Newberry, SC.

Funeral Services will be held 1pm Friday March 7, 2025, St. James AME Church Pomaria, SC.

Interment will follow in the St. James AME Church Cemetery. 

Family will receive friends at 645 Apple Lane Newberry, SC 29108.
