Mrs. Betty Jean Praylow Abney was born June 3, 1946, in Newberry County, SC to the late L.B. and Josephine Owens PrayLow.
She attended public Schools of Newberry County and worked for many years. Jobs included Georgia Pacific, American Fiber and Finishing and as a CNA for 46 years where she retired from.
At an early age she joined Mount Moriah AME Church in Prosperity, SC.
Betty had a love for children and began her own day care and had her own way of feeding the needy and homeless, and back to school programs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, one grandchild, five Brothers, and five Sisters.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories of her children, Ray Abney Jr. (Trina), Willie Rico Abney, Robert Abney (Denise), Arlene Cromer (Butler), Jearleen Praylow (Tony), Wilma Abney (Ricardo), Martha Abney. A sister Mattie Praylow Stephens. Grandchildren Raised in the home Zedrick Abney, Betrakiah Bowers, Johnny Bowers, Arromous Abney, Betty S. Abney, Ronnie Abney, Irvine Nicholson, God- Children Terry Abney, Michael Wise, and Michelle Curry. Devoted Nephew Scottie Stephens twenty-four grandchildren, seventy-one great grandchildren, three great- great grandchildren a host of many other relatives who cherries her Memories.

Graveside Services will be held 2PM Saturday November 9, 2024, Mt. Moriah AME Church Prosperity, SC, 29127
