Carolyn L. Adams

Carolyn L. Adams, age 78, transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday, May 28, 2026. She was born on June 16, 1947, in Lexington, South Carolina, to the late Cordell Leaphart and the late Minnie Lou McFee.

Educated in the Aiken County Public School System, Mrs. Adams devoted her life to caring for her beloved daughter. She had a gentle spirit, a deep love for children, and a steadfast devotion to her family. Her kindness, warmth, and nurturing presence touched the lives of all who knew her.

Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Marvin Adams; her daughter, Rhonda Adams; and her son, Jacob Adams.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Joseph Adams; one adopted son, Brandon Simon; one daughter, Rebecca Adams; one brother, Wayne “Buddy” Leaphart; and one sister, Marina Mixon, four grandchildren, Savanna Word, Shana Carwise, Hunter Adams, and Dillion Adams, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will deeply miss her.

Her legacy of love, compassion, and quiet strength will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to share in her life.

Visitation will be held 1-5pm Tuesday June 2, 2026, Wilson Funeral Home Newberry, SC.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted 2pm Wednesday June 3, 2026, Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Saluda, SC.
