Carrissa Shanta Ellis

Ms. Carrissa Shanta Ellis was born on June 28, 1989 in Laurens, South Carolina to the parents of Eddie Ellis Sr. and Teresa Davis Ellis.

She was educated and a graduate of Newberry High School, class of 2008.

On Sunday February 8, 2026, she entered into eternal rest at the age of 36.

She is preceded in death by her son Vincent Irby Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory three wonderful children: Cherrish Irby, Treazure Irby, and Zecorian Ellis; two sisters: Alika Ellis and Marquist Ellis; one brother; Eddie Ellis Jr.

(Pamela Ellis); her grandmother, Mrs. Annie Mae Ellis of Newbery, SC; a very special friend, James Prophet; and a loving host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held 12-5pm Saturday, February 14, 2026, Wilson Funeral Home Newberry, SC. 

Funeral services will be conducted 3pm Sunday, February 15, 2026, Belmont Baptist Church, 301 Belmont Baptist Church Rd., Silverstreet, SC 29145. 

Burial will follow in the Church Yard Cemetery.
