On July 11, 2024, Charles (Charlie, Mr. Charles) Edward Goudelock a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend went to glory surrounded by his loving family. Born September 8th, 1943 in Newberry, SC to the Late Thomas R. Goudelock, Sr, and the late Annie L. Gallman Goudelock.

Born and raise in Newberry, SC he moved to Richmond, VA in 1964. Mr. Charles worked for Kings Department Store, Kmart and St. Mary’s Woods Retirement Community. He also had his own cleaning business with various contracts but Trane was the one closest to his heart. In 2023 he fully retired and spent his remaining time with his love ones. 

Charles was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness for 49 years. 

He was predeceased in death by one grandson Charles A. Goudelock, three brothers, Augustus O. Goudelock, Thomas R. Goudelock, Jr., and Zebbie D. Goudelock, and one sister, Marlene Goudelock. 

Charles was a well known well loved man that always gave a helping hand to those who were in need. Even though he’s gone to Glory he leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Eva Goudelock, five daughters; Doris Goudelock (Paul), Denise Goudelock (Prince) of Tacoma, WA, Charlette Baylor (Leon), Yvette Goudelock, Bernadette Goudelock (Noble), four grandchildren; Jamal Baylor, Brittany Goudelock-Jones, Jasmine Baylor, Jared Dorsla, three great-grandchildren; Chaniyah Dock, Brianna Goudelock-Jones, Chance Saunders. 

He has seven brothers; James William Goudelock of West Palm Beach, Florida; Cal Goudelock of Rock Hill, SC; Albert Ray Goudelock of Madison, Georgia; Harold Goudelock, Curtis Goudelock, Michael Goudelock, Anthony Bernard Goudelock, all of Newberry, South Carolina, six sisters, Rev. Annie Reeder (James), Janet G. Glenn, Margaret G. Suber (Larry), Miriam G. Werts (James) of Newberry, SC; Darlene G. Jones (Maurice) of Columbia, SC; and Cheryl Goudelock-Hare. In addition, he leaves a sister-in-law Alvena Goudelock of Newberry, SC, three brother-in-laws; Emory Gary New York, NY, Alonzo Spearman, Arthur Haywood and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral plans for Mr. Goudelock are as follows: Visitation: Thursday, July 18, 2024 Mimms Funeral Home 1827 Hull Street, Richmond, VA 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Service: Friday, July 19, 2024 2:00 p.m. Richmond, VA
