Deacon J.D. Henderson of Newberry, S.C. was born on October 5, 1952, to the late Anthony Henderson Ida Mae Leake Henderson departed peacefully into eternal rest Oct 18, 2024.
He attended Newberry County Public Schools where he was a bus driver. Deacon J.D. Henderson was a faithful member to Belmont Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board, Senor Choir. He also was a member of Sons Of aid Lodge #51.
He was a devoted Truck Driver for over 40 years. He also was an instructor for Senn Trucking
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one Sister Julia Mae McGowan.
He leaves to cherish precious memories his wife of 52 yrs. Berlinda Wells Henderson. Two daughters Teresa Langford (Columbia) Terkysha Henderson (Newberry) Granddaughter Myesha L. Guise (Cederic) (Columbia) Grandson Antonio Langford (Charlotte). Three Great Grandsons Jayvon Langford, Jordan Guise and Cedaus Guise all of Columbia, SC. Two sisters Mattie Henderson (Simpsonville) & Lisa Lindsey (Irmo). Two brothers Ervin Henderson (Shirley), Bobby Henderson. Four sisters in laws Breanda Stephens, Kathy Kibler, Florence, Helen Robinson (John). One brother-in-law Ben Wells (Angie) a host of Nieces, Nephews, cousins and special friends.
Visitation will be held 1-5pm Wednesday October 23, 2024, Wilson Funeral Home Newberry, SC.
Funeral Services and Burial will be held 1pm Thursday October 24, 2024, Belmont Baptist Church, 301 Belmont Baptist Church Rd. Silverstreet, SC 29145
