Mrs. Eula Mae (Gary) Rivers, age 69, of 728 Center Street, Newberry, SC, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at home. She was born on September 4, 1956, to the late Simpson Gary and the late Eula Glenn.
Mrs. Rivers joined Belmont Baptist Church at an early age and remained a devoted member. She was educated in the Newberry County School System.
She was known for her warm spirit and joyful presence. She loved cooking, reading, walking, and shopping, and she filled the room with laughter. There was never a dull moment when she was around.
Mrs. Rivers was preceded in death by her husband, Carey Rivers; sisters, Glenda Williams and Mae Gary; brother, Willie James Gary; and daughter, Serena Rivers.
Mrs. Rivers leaves to cherish her memories four daughters, Alishia Samuel (Jamie), Sandra Burton (Terrance DeWayne), Theresa Cromer (Michiel) and Suvena Rivers Kingwood (Anthony); seven grandchildren; five Great-grandchildren; sister, Lillie Pearl Moody; four brothers, Ray Gary (Janie), Melvin Gary (Denise), Freddie Gary and Robert Gary; Devoted friend Larry Free and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held 1-5 m Tuesday, January 6, 2026, Wilson Funeral Home
Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 7, 2026, Belmont Baptist Church, Silverstreet, SC
Interment will follow in the church cemetery
