George "Bamma" Wicker, Jr

George Wicker Jr. “Bamma” was born on June 26, 1954, in Pomaria, South Carolina, to the late George Wicker Sr. and the late Shirley Mae Wicker. He was preceded in death by one Brother James Edward Wicker and one niece Alexis Wicker. He peacefully pasted on Wednesday May 13, 2026 surrounded by family.

George is lovingly survived by his four brothers, Lewis (Cindy) Wicker, Grady Wicker, Willie Wicker all of Pomaria, SC; Charles (Gwendolyn) Wicker of Milladgeville, GA; one sister Shirley (Jimmie) Stoudemire of Prosperity, SC; and One aunt Narvis Cromer of Newberry, SC. His memory will forever be Cherished by a special niece Nicole (Kevin) Williams of Greenwood, SC and a Special nephew Rashod Wicker of Newberry, SC, along with twelve nieces and nephews, Twenty-One great nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all whom will dearly miss him, but can rejoice knowing that he is now resting in peace.

Visitation will be held 1-5pm Saturday, May 16, 2026, Wilson Funeral Home Newberry, SC. 

Funeral services will be conducted 2pm Sunday, May 17, 2026, St. James AME Church Pomaria, SC. 

Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
