Lorraine Denise Bouknight

Lorraine Bouknight, beloved sister, and friend eternal rest on September 5, 2025, at the age of 52.

Born on November 13,1972, in Newberry, SC, Lorraine was the cherished daughter of the late Mildred Bouknight and Solomon Spearman. She grew up with strong values of faith, family, and perseverance that guided her life's journey.

Lorraine dedicated her life to caring for others. Whether through her kindness, her selfless love for family, or her unwavering faith in God, she touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. Lorraine is survived by her father, Solomon Spearman (Rhode Island) a sister, Evelyn Bouknight- Suber (Kivin), lifelong companion Denny Barr, nieces, Gabrielle Jackson & Aubrey Bouknight-Brooks nephews, L'Gervis Goodwin, Evian Brooks, a host of cousins, and friends who will forever cherish her memory. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Brent Bouknight, grandmother, Jessie Bowers, great grandmother, Evalina Bouknight, uncles, ML Bouknight, Willie James Bouknight, Henry Bouknight, & Joe Lewis Bouknight, Payne Bouknight

Lorraine's warmth, faith, and compassion will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

Visitation will be held 2-5pm Friday, September 12, 2025, Wilson Funeral Home Newberry, SC.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday, September 13, 2025, Bethlehem Baptist Church, Newberry, SC.

Interment will follow in the Little River Baptist Church Cemetery, Silverstreet, SC.

The family will receive friends and family at 354 Spring Brook Way, Chapin, SC.
