Mrs. Mary Gallman Cannon, beloved daughter of the late T.C. and Elizabeth Boyd Gallman was born on December 10, 1947 in Newberry, South Carolina.

She departed this life peacefully on Monday, March 1, 2021 at home surrounded by family.

She was a member of Mt. Moriah A.M.E. Church in Prosperity, South Carolina. She was also a member of the Women Lodge Aide Society # 23. She attended and graduated from Gallman High School.

She was employed at Newberry Inn and Ham Hawg Heaven for many of years.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Frank Cannon, maternal grandparents; Jessie and Maude Boyd, two sisters; Mary Ellen Williams and Pearline Dewalt, one brother; James Gallman

Her legacy of love and devotion will continue through four daughters, Lisa Gallman and Melissa Gallman of Prosperity, SC, Barbara Gallman and Ta’Nerria Henderson of Newberry, SC; four sons, Quincy Gallman (Mary) of Clarksville, TN, Tyrone Gallman (Erinn) of Arlington, TX, Jonathan Gallman and David Gallman of Prosperity, SC.

Children reared as her own; Crystal Williams of Winnsboro, SC, Rhonda Speaks (Harry) of Columbia, SC, Shonda Gallman of Newberry, SC, Jamie Williams (Trina) of Irmo, SC Rudean Harris and Elaine McFall of Newberry, SC and Patricia Williams of Columbia, SC, two sisters; Ruby Gallman and Nettie Gallman both of Newberry, SC, seven aunts; Deloris Jones of Prosperity SC, Shirley Rutherford of Pomaria, SC, Bertha Kessler of Little Mountain, SC, Mattie Williams of Newberry, SC, Bonnie Holley (Bernard) of Newberry, SC, Martha Boyd of Prosperity, SC, and Annette Kinsler ( Robert) of Prosperity, SC two uncles; Willie Boyd of Newberry, SC and Murray Boyd of Silverstreet, SC, 11 grandchildren; including her devoted granddaughters, Keyanna Gallman LA ‘Portia Chandler and Elizabeth Chandler, 7 great grandchildren and her devoted friends, Debbie Young, Gail Weathers, Shirley Williams,  Annelle Glasgow, Patricia Jones, Kim Murphy and Penny Hamm; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing for Mrs. Cannon will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home 64 Boundary St, Newberry, SC,  from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Graveside service will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Moriah AME Church 1628 Ira Kinard Rd, Prosperity, SC.
