Sorry to hear of your ultimate loss. Bobby and I came to know each others while going through our basic training at Fort Jackson, SC in July of 1967. Bobby was indeed a great person to have known. He had a great sense of humor and was a person that was willing to share. I too went on to serve in Combat in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge. So sorry we didn't follow up on our friendship but after getting out of the war, settling down, getting married and raising a family you tend to lose touch.
