Christopher Adrian Gamble loving, wise, intelligent, keen sense of humor, and generous son, brother, husband, uncle, cousin, work colleague, and friend to many was born on June 10, 1964 in Washington, DC to Louis and Gwendolyn Gamble. He departed this earthy life and entered into the arms of the Creator on Monday, April 20, 2020.
Chris attended Buchanan Elementary, Hine Jr. High, Ballou and Eastern High Schools. He then went on to West Virginia State and the University of the District of Columbia where he graduated with a degree in Accounting. He began his accounting career with Cotton and Company where he travel to conduct various audits. He worked as an Internal Audit Manager for Blue Cross Blue Shield, BellSouth/AT&T Communications, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Department of Education as Regional Inspector General for Audit Services, Region IV.
A man with an infectious smile, a man who loved his family and all mankind, a man of many talents and above all a man who walked the walk. A man who will be missed by many. May the ancestors welcome our love one Chris as he makes his transition.
Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories include his loving wife, Debra Mayes-Gamble of the home; two brothers, T. Dwight Hanna (Jeanne)of Columbia, SC and Zack W. Gamble, Sr. (Linda) of Washington, DC; two sisters, Darlene Y. Gamble of Mitchellville, MD; Dibri S. Gamble of Washington, DC; brothers-in-laws, Leornard Pitts, Rev. James Cuttino, Charles Johnson, Willis W. Mayes III, Porterfield Mayes, Sr. and Nathaniel Mayes; sisters-in-law, Delores Pitts, Shirley Johnson, Sarah Cuttino and Norma Mayes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In consideration of the health crisis, the family requests no visitors at the home. Phone calls, text messages and cards would be greatly appreciated.
A private graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Belmont Baptist Church Cemetery, 301 Belmont Church Road, Silverstreet, SC 29145.
