Mr. George Thomas Glenn

Mr. George Thomas Glenn, beloved son of the late James W. Glenn, Jr. and Ruby Glenn was born on October 10, 1950 in Newberry County. On Monday, April 18, 2022 while at Hospice of Laurens County in Clinton, South Carolina, God called him home to glory.

He was nurtured and raised by his grandparents, J.W. Sr. and Ruth Glenn.

Mr. Glenn was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church and spent many years there. Later in life, he joined Little River Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee and a member of the Sons of Aid, Lodge #12.
He attended the public schools of Newberry County School System and was employed with Georgia Pacific located in Prosperity, South Carolina.

George was predeceased by his parents, his wife Eula Allen Glenn, a son, Allen Glenn; Brothers- in- law Mack Allen, James Allen, Ricky Kinard and Hugh Cook and a sister-in-law, Eleane Eason Allen.

Precious memories will continue through his loving daughters, Shera Glenn (Joshua) and Kerri Graham of Newberry, SC; a son, Phillip Graham (Shameka) of Greenwood, SC; the grandson raised in the home, Keilan Tribble, of Silverstreet, SC; five beautiful sisters, Beverly Singleton of Newberry, SC, Yvonne Cook and Evelyn Glenn of Greenwood, SC, Lorraine Gray (Mike) of Ninety-Six, SC and Carolyn Davenport (Harry) of Silverstreet, SC; eight granchildren; two brothers- in-law, Frank Allen (Lucille) of Cross, SC and Charles Lee Allen (Alberta) of Blythewood, SC; two sisters-in-law, Doris Allen of Silverstreet, SC and Nicole Kinard of Philadelphia, PA; a devoted friend, Hazel Winn and a host of loving nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Homegoing services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at noon on the lawn of Wilson Funeral Home, 64 Boundary St, Newberry, SC.
