Mr. Hollis E. Reese

Mr. Hollis Eugene Reese was born April 14, 1952, in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Cedell Reese and Fannie Mae D. Reese. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

Eugene was born in Columbia, South Carolina, and attended Richlex High School. He then moved to New York where he worked as a truck driver for over 40 years until he retired. Eugene was a member of the Church of the Open Door, where he was a devoted member and a part of the AIDS and Men Of God Ministries.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Christopher E. Reese of Chapin SC, Charlene D. Williams of Columbia SC, and Vincent Fletcher of Columbia, SC. Children lovingly raised: Daniella, Justin, Kimberly, and Bradford all of New York. His brother Calvin Reese, his beloved Aunt Willie L. Houseal, a special cousin Nina A. Bowers and many other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 6 to 8 pm  in the parlor of Wilson Funeral Home, 64 Boundary St, Newberry, SC 29108.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in the sanctuary of Mt. Hebron A. M. E. Church, 287 Mount Hebron Rd, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
