Mr. Joenathan Williams

Joenathan Williams was born in Chappells, SC on January 8, 1941 to the late Laura Mae nd P. D. Williams.  Joenathan entered eternal rest on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Virtua, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ.

Joe accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Scurry Spring Hill Baptist Church in Chappells, SC.  He later attended House of Believers in Camden under the leadership of Apostle Theodore Gaines.  Joe attended public schools in Newberry County, SC.  Joe worked various jobs in South Carolina until he later moved to Philadelphia, PA, where he worked many years at Strubble and Moffitt Company, then later at Steel Manufacture and Philadelphia Race Track until his health began to fail.

He loved his family and always had a sense of humor.  He could make you laugh even on your saddest day.  He will truly be missed.

Joe leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters; Caroline Tunstall of Mount Laurel, NJ and Tarnisha Tunstall of Philadelphia, PA, four sons; Joenathan Barr and Jerry Williams of Newberry, SC, Joey and Jerome Tunstall of Philadelphia, PA, 24 grandchildren and several great grands, two sisters Magnolia Branch (Lonnie) of Pennsauken, NJ and Emma Suber (Oliver) of Clinton, SC, brother-in-law; Stewart Suber Jr. of Mountville, SC, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Preceeding him in death, two sons, Joel Barr and Sendrick Williams, one brother; P.D. Williams Jr., five sisters; Mablene Williams, Mozell Harmon, Lue Lee Suber, Sarah Jane Chappell and Annie Culbreath

Funeral services for Joenathan Williams will be held  2pm on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Scrurry Springhill Baptist Church, 1237 Scurry Church Rd, Chappells, SC.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
