Mr. Joseph Hill, Jr.

Mr. Joseph Hill, Jr. of 1380 South University Drive in Ladson, SC passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Newberry, SC on July 17, 1949 to the late Mr. Joseph Hill, Sr. and the late Mrs. Levi Spearman Hill.

He was predeceased by one son, Tyrone Neal; one brother, Leonard Hill and three sisters, Eloise Carter, Bessie Hill and Lessie Hodges.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories include four sons, Joseph Hill, III of Columbia, SC, Frederick A. Hill (Fatereah), Leonard Hill and Joey Hill, all of Newberry, SC; three daughters, Veronica D. Brown (Angelo) of Newberry, Rolanda Renee Gourdine (Will) of Ladson, SC and Yvette E. Hill of Newberry; thirty-five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Johnny Hill and Tony Shelton, both of Newberry and Charles Shelton of Maryland; two sisters, Fannie Hill of Lexington, SC and Geneva H. Neal (Bennie) of Newberry; one uncle; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   

The family will receive friends at the home of his son, Fredrick and Fatereah, 83 J.B. Fulmer Court, Newberry.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Saint Matthew Baptist  Church, 61 Boundary Street, Newberry.
