Mr Leroy Jerone Syphertt, 52, of Newberry, SC, entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Hill Crest Hospital in Simpsonville, SC. Leroy was born on August 8, 1970 to the late Julius Caesar “Doc”Syphertt of Silverstreet, SC and the late Daisy Mae Saddler of Newberry, SC. Leroy was predeceased by his sister, the late Barbara Aretha Saddler Jackson, of Newberry, SC. There were other devoted family members who assisted in the upbringing of Leroy and his sibling namely his Uncle, the late Samuel "Frank" Nelson, and surviving aunt, Maezelle Nelson of Newberry, SC.
Leroy was self-employed as a carpenter/ painter. He enjoyed doing anything he could for anybody, especially his family. He was a diehard San Francisco 49er’s fan, and he was quick to make sure you knew it!
Leroy is survived by his wife, Angela Lake Syphertt of Little Mountain, SC; his son, Tyler J. Syphertt, of Newberry, SC; his brother, Earnest Tyrone Syphertt; three devoted nieces, Dominique Saddler, Mercedes Rutherford, Tursan’ee Chaplin, all of Newberry, SC; two devoted nephews, Christopher Saddler, Tralin Syphertt, both of Newberry, SC; his god son Tristan Walker of Newberry, SC; and his devoted and cherished friends and support system, Bryce and Candace Cockfield of Irmo, SC, Tamara Floyd, of Newberry, SC, Sondra Floyd of Newberry, SC and Charles Fredrick, of Buffalo, NY, and Tyrone Davis of Newberry, SC.
Loving memories will continue through his family members from the Syphertt, Saddler, Nelson and Floyd families,(all including numerous devoted uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews) and many friends that were a part of Leroy’s life.
A Memorial Service is scheduled at The Helena Community Outreach Ministry on Saturday March, 25 at 1:00 pm in Newberry, SC.
