Mr. Quinton L. Gray Sr,

Quinton Lamont Gray, Sr., beloved son of the late Brenda K. Gray was born January 1, 1981 in Newberry, South Carolina. He was raised and nurtured by his Godparents John and Mattie Jones. Quinton passed away on July 12, 2022 at Reading Hospital, Reading, PA.

Quinton affectionately known as “Shoe” was well known for his passion and greatness of playing football.  “Shoe” attended both Hillcrest and Newberry High School where he played sports and had a special love for football. He loved singing and cooking with family and friends. At an early age he became employed with Wise BBQ and later with Kraft Heinz and Georgia Pacific. He was known to be a hard worker and the comedian of the family. Quinton was the type of person that never complained, even of his worse days. He always tried to keep a smile on his face. He will be missed beyond measure.

Preceding him in death are his mother and a sister, Talican Gray.

Memories will continue through his children, Talican Gray and Quinton Gray, Jr., both of Newberry, SC and Trenton Gray, Owen Gray and Jada Gray all of Reading, PA; two brothers, Olin Gray (Ashley) and Andrae Koon both of Newberry, SC; two sisters, Marketta Gray of Newberry, SC and Audra Wise (Terry) of Chapin, SC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be held 2 pm on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Newberry Memorial Gardens, 15127 C. R Koon Hwy, Newberry, SC 29108.
