Mr. Terence Roshell Lyghts, beloved son of Evelyn Meggett and the late Rollon Lyghts, was born Sept 18, 1977 in Newberry County. He entered the arms of Jesus on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at his home in Chapin, SC.
Terence was affectionately known as “Terry” or “Big T” by his family and friends. He enjoyed football, basketball and baseball and wrestling and was a huge Giants fan. Big T, was a jack of all trades and in his spare time he loved to cook, grill, road trips and spend time with his family. He was well known for his contagious smile and enjoyed the food network.
Those who celebrate his life and loving memories include his loving mother, Evelyn Meggett of Chapin, SC; three beautiful daughters, Tequoyia Jones (Kristal), Senteria Lyghts (Eneicsha), and Lyric Lyghts (Tequila); one beloved son, Terence “LT” Lyghts (Tequila); one precious grandson, Braylen Sampson (Tequayia); two brothers, Reggie Meggett (Yolanda) and Rolon Lyghts III; two sisters, Vicki Meggett and Ebony Lyghts; seven nieces, De’sha, Daffeny, Destiny, Laylah,Lauren, Ava – Marie and Kennedy; three nephews, Chase, Ian and Royal; three aunts, Maggie Mayers (James), Ellen Mayers (Randy) and Flanzie Smith (Richard) all of Chapin, SC; three uncles, Amos Meggett and Julious Meggett both of Chapin, SC and Curtis Lyghts of Florida; one great uncle, Alton Meggett; one great aunt, Lillie Mae Watson (Doug); dear friends, Joe and Ivey Meggett, Raheem Mayers, Curvine Ridgley and a host of close loving family and friends who loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4 to 8 pm in the parlor of Wilson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Providence AME Church In Little Mountain, SC.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
