Mr. Ulesse Simmons, Jr., was born in Winnsboro, South Carolina to the late Ulesse Simmons, Sr., and Louise Proctor Jackson Simmons. He entered eternal rest on November 3, 2022 at Newberry County Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Albert Jackson, Edward Jackson, Hollie James Jackson and Nathaniel Jackson. He joined Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church in Winnsboro, South Carolina at a young age.
He was affectionately known as “Lou” and “Uncle Lou” by family, however in Baltimore, Maryland; Winnsboro, South Carolina; and Prosperity, South Carolina, he was known as “Easy”, “Easy Walker”, “Cadillac” and “Lack” by his friends. He was a bricklayer by trade. His favorite pastime was fishing. He would always crack jokes, talk trash and his laughter was infectious. There was never a dull moment when he was around. To know him was to love him because he bought LAUGHTER with him and wherever he went he never met a stranger. He was the LIFE of the party and you knew he was in the place.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his loving daughters, Shantelle and Chanell Simmons of Baltimore, Maryland and Ulesha Simmons of Winnsboro, South Carolina; a son, Tyrell Simmons of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; a loving and devoted niece, Rev. Marilyn “ MalAnn” Boulware; sisters, Patricia Simmons of Baltimore, Maryland, Eliza J. Boulware of Winnsboro, South Carolina, Mamie Darden of Columbia, South Carolina and Cindi Young of Baltimore, Maryland; one aunt, Sarah (Marion) Harris of Winnsboro, South Carolina; a special friend, Arabelle Bates, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly.
